These delicate flavoured fruits are very nutritious and low in calories. They can be sweet, or sweet and tangy. If you prefer them sweeter, then just leave them on your kitchen bench for a couple of days to ripen a little further to get the full luscicious flavour. If left to ripen the colour and flavour will deepen and flesh will soften. They are great if stewed lightly in waterwith a little sugar and served with a dollop of cream or ice-cream. They make a flavoursome jam and also a great filling an apricot pie.
